In fact, people who had undergone memory training actually did worse later in life, presumably because higher performance meant they fell farther. I'll probably continue doing sudoku puzzles anyway, though.

No, but age will do it by itself -- the cognitive decline thing.

That's why you forgot about the interplay between acids (such as lemon juice) and ferrous materials (such as cast iron pans).
