Shoulder kitty
May. 19th, 2006 07:58 amSo tired this morning. Not for any reason I can tell - I got to bed around nine, and slept fine. But I'm a zombie and coffee isn't helping. Maybe I need to start injecting the grounds directly into my brain.
Galen, after a year of tentative attempts, has finally figured out how to perch on our shoulders and neck. In a stable fashion, I mean - at first, he kept trying to sit parrot-style, draping over the front and back. Cat, you're 12 pounds: it works better when you rotate 90 degrees.
But, as I said, he's got it down now and it's become one of his favorite perches. My neck says it's time to clip his claws again, though.

Date: 2006-05-19 03:27 pm (UTC)I'm finding my tolerance for caffeine is such that it also no longer works for me; even after two pots of coffee -- and some in the afternoon -- I'm half-zombified and can still fall asleep easily at night.
The 'Stress-B' supplement seems to work, at least for me. This is anecdotal evidence of course, but since I can identify the days I forget to take one by my level of lethargy, it might be worth a look.

Date: 2006-05-19 05:04 pm (UTC)Hurrah Galen for becoming a shoulder kitty instead of a parrot kitty. My old Siamese learned the "Toupee" posture. My ex would wear him like a toup. The poor kitty would just calmly sit up there, looking at us for all the world like he was thinking, "You have to sleep sometime..."
