I stopped by one of the ginormous national banks yesterday to deposit money from this weekend's event. While I was there, I received some unwelcome news.
Apparently, I wasn't a signer on the account.
This was news to me, especially as I turned in the paperwork six months ago. And have written checks in the meantime, not that banks actually hand-check signatures. That lapse meant that no checks bounced, fortunately.
The branch that I had gone to was quite busy that day, and it appears that they simply passed the signature card to the central depository - they didn't bother to, say, update the account with my name.
I have no complaints regarding the person who worked with me yesterday - he was quite helpful. But as for the rest - jerkwads.
