I had the more-or-less-monthly pizza dinner with garlicknitter last night. We tried Patxi's in Palo Alto.

I don't know if my allergies and lack-of-sense-of-smell were acting up, but I didn't taste a whole lot in their pizza. The Chicago-style filled crust was okay; I liked Pizza Chicago better. The sauce tasted watery to me, but maybe I've been spoiled by making pizza from homemade tomato paste and herbs clipped in the yard thirty seconds ago.

Bottom line? Meh. Not bad, but if I want Chicago-style I'll go to Zachary's or Pizza Chicago first.

I haven't tried "Pizza Chicago", but I do like Zachary's a lot. Probably too much. Good thing there isn't one nearby. <g>

Sweeet! How lucky can you get? My recollection is that Zachary's doesn't deliver ... (not that there's one near me, or anything ...).
