"Toyota Motor Corp issued a recall of more than 380,000 Highlander vehicles in the U.S. A spokeswoman said the recall centers on a faulty part below the center console that could slip under the gas and brake pedals."

Yup, that's pretty much what we told them was happening to us, when we took ours in a couple months after buying it.

Nice. Toyota actually petitioned to not do that, but the NTHSA is forcing them to do so to comply with the regulations. You know, the ones that are supposed to increase car safety.
