..there are multiple designs (and design implications) to consider as well. I'm working with a group to refine the plans for the oven I built.

Sunset's plans weren't quite what I was looking for.. a little too vague for my taste.. and I had some minor issues with the bread oven designs. Really more for professionals who want to bake a few hundred loaves in a single firing. I didn't want something that took all day to heat up.

The clay oven designs were nice, but I didn't want to play with mud either.

I ended up settling for a lower mass dome brick oven design from Italy. It's similar to middle east designs, heats up to pizza temps in an hour or less with the right wood, and so I am happy.

Stop giving away our expensive fire-bricks until I'm done building the bbq and smokehouse to go with the pizza oven!
