No bonus points for knowing the source of the quote. Too easy.

Quick weekend recap:
A very nice time Saturday with lots of folks from LJ-land; the Lamplighters' Ruddygore, which is my absolute favorite Gilbert & Sullivan operetta. Then dinner at Zarzuela, one of our favorite restaurants.

Sunday we helped out the Ed Levin Park work party, along with [livejournal.com profile] stella_nordica and [livejournal.com profile] hrj. We clipped seedpods off hemlock. It's a pretty plant, lacy and ferny. Apparently it's related to carrots. We didn't let Galen groom us when we got home, though.

Well, all right, you can have a few. But don't spend them all on comic books!

I'm pretty sure that American hemlock isn't that poisonous. It's the European stuff that's the killer.

This is European hemlock. It's an invasive weed.
