Wow. I got about nine hours of sleep last night - easily the most I've gotten all week. Obviously, I was catching up. I won't say I slept well - I woke up a number of times, the pillows and covers were thrown about, and I had some disturbing dreams (such as the one where an SCA fighter died of heatstroke in full view of everyone, while we waited fruitlessly for the ambulance); but I still didn't wake up until 7 AM. Which is the normal time my alarm goes off at home, but still.

That's a nightmare I don't need shared, even in dream-format.

Hope you get more (and better) sleep soon.

The dream-image of the Hauoc-sized fighter toppling out of the arming pavilion, face-down onto the grass, is one that will stick in my brain for a bit. It wasn't Hauoc, or anyone in particular; just creepy and awful.

That's odd, and a bit scary.

On a side note, Hauoc was my challenge this last weekend.

*makes mental note to brush up on heat stroke treatment*

So, tell me about your mother.

If I wanted to go all Freudian analysis, I'd say I was projecting my feelings of lack of control with planes and airports and such. But I don't.

Had to do a double take on this one, as MY Mother flew into NY yesterday and I was JUST thinking about how funny it would be if you two passed on the street, unknowingly...

Her company put her up in the Bentley on the Upper East Side, about two blocks from Mad Ave. Lucky lucky dog.

And all she has to do is pour wine and be her usual charming self.

She should have taken me =( Next time.

All the really bizarre dreams I ever had about the SCA were on business trips. Maybe the SCA is a good place to act out one's weirdness, asleep OR awake - and the consequences are about the same.
