My dad was in town this weekend, so we got together briefly Saturday evening. We took him to Aperto, a local Italian joint in our neighborhood. We hadn't gone there before, but the menu always looked good. Well, I'd go back. Not horrendously priced, not overly formal, but nice. My dad had pesto ravioli; the wife had a roasted peach, proscuitto and arugula salad that was faboo. I had the salmon special which I liked.

Now back to the massive catching up I have to do at work.

I was first intro'd to proscioutto-wrapped peaches a couple of years ago at my fav restaurant, Zin (Healdsburg). I have since learned to make them.
