Surrounded by Googlites at work, we take our entertainment where we can get it. We saw this through our lunchroom window, which looks upon the parking lot.

Around 11:30 AM a young Googlite pulls into our parking lot and gets out of her car. She's disheveled and in rumpled clothes; clearly, she has not been home. She proceeds to (discreetly) change and brush down her hair to look somewhat presentable for half an hour while standing in front of her car, before going into work.

In college, we used to call that the "Walk of Shame" as you returned to your dorm in the morning. At 11:30 in the morning, she must have had a heckuva night.

At 11:30... That's more a 'Walk of braggadocio' than anything else.

Oh, but Fionnbharro, sex is nasty, and achieving some is ignoble. So of course it must be shame!

I made a sport of watching people doing the 'walk of shame' at events. There are many clever strategies but wow! What an education I got by keeping my eyes open early in the morning.

I heard another term about this kind of thing that some girls use on each other for this. A girl with mussed hair from some romping may be said to have 'new relationship hair'.

Heckuva night?
