The West has been nominated as a "Santa Clara County volunteer group of the year" for our work at Ed Levin Park!

I knew they liked us, but I didn't expect "Sally Field" liking us!

For the Rapier event, I was commenting to nevynn about how much they both like us and are a little scared of us.

Why scared? Because they don't know how to deal with us. They call us up and say "we have a little work for you guys" and the next thing they know 20 or 30 of us suddenly appear out of nowhere. Not only that, but we are so self organizing that no matter how much work they think they have, we always get it done faster then they expect and they end up scrambling to try and fine more for us to do. Then they apologize for that while we spend all the rest of the time saying "no problem. What do you need next?"

I think they are scared of us because they are public servants and aren't used to dealing with this much enthusiasm and generosity. *smile*
