...Salt House, your menu is no shrine to salted meat.

Salt House opened in San Francisco maybe a year ago, owned and operated by the same people who run Town Hall. It's another contemporary American restaurant and has had huge buzz.

Having gone there last night with a broker, I'm not quite sure why. There was no charcuterie on the menu (which I think is where the name comes from). Yes, it was packed - especially for a Monday. And I will admit that their gourmet take on poutine (A Canadia dish of french fries, melted cheese, and beef gravy) was awesome. But would I invest more time, calories, and my own wallet to go back? Probably not. Plenty of other restaurants in SF that I'd prefer to try.

I don't know if I've heard of it; I haven't been there, but it looks intriguing.
