My baseball hypocrisy

I'm not a fan of the All-Star Game. It's too artificial - too much a fanservice, yet trying to pretend that the best players are the ones invited.
Yet, that didn't stop me from meeting a cow-orker this morning across the street from Pac Bell Park. Said cow-orker is a limited partner at Momo's, the bar closest to the park. This meant that he and I shot the shit for several hours, admired the passersby, had some free food and booze, and watched the All-Stars drive by. He's a lifelong Yankee$ fan, so he cheered A-Rod and Jeter. I watched Barry Bonds go by. I assisted the crowd booing Brad Penny of the Dodgers ("Beat L.A.", which was totally and utterly awesome that it spontaneously happened.)
Well worth a vacation day from work, and probably more fun than attending the game - which would have cost a lot more.
