Literally.

I figured that Galen washing my face 95% of the time, as opposed to my wife's, was because my stubble was closer to kitty-tongue texture.

I think I know the truth now.

Galen likes garlic.

He washed me very aggressively last night - to the point of even licking the back of my head when I buried my face in my pillow. Six or seven times, until kitty got punted out of bedroom.

Since I ate lots of garlic over the last couple-three days (taking the week off work, I don't have to worry about offending people) it's oozing out my pores now.
And the kitty is loving it. (Sigh) I can't give up garlic, but I wouldn't mind getting more sleep instead of rasping kitty tongue.

Garlic is said by some (i.e. it is a folk-remedy) to repell fleas. I've known dog breeders who fed their dogs garlic powder for this purpose. Don't know if its true, but maybe Galen is on to a good and useful thing... :-)

Hmm... based on that, I should eat more garlic and let Galen lick me constantly.

One is more palatable (no pun intended) than the other. I think we'll stick with Advantage.

Sorry, it's never been verified and double-blind trials have shown that feeding your pet garlic has the same effect as not feeding your pet garlic. The fleas like the pet either way.

Revolution, Frontline, or Advantage all kill fleas reliable in such a trial.
