Stormwatch
Nov. 16th, 2003 09:51 amHurricane Galen hit again this morning. I awoke at 2 AM to the sounds of shredding packing paper. That's okay, it's disposable.
Then he started clawing at the base of a handmade doll, and overturning a fabric basket to claw at the scraps and the basket itself.
Punt! Slam.
He's back to sweetness and purring again, as he was last night before I went to bed. He's no Caliban, nor do I expect to see him on My Cat Hates You like Mordecai... but still, I'm not happy with this Jekyll-and-Hyde routine. Guess we'll start a routine of me playing with him for half an hour before I go to bed, and Dawn doing the same. Maybe that will wear him out.
(It wouldn't be so bad if I could sleep through it, as my wife does - but I can't.)

Date: 2003-11-16 08:51 pm (UTC)Ha! Good luck! I dont think there is anything that can tire out a kitten or a puppy, except maybe another kitten or puppy.....and the tiring out would probably still not be on our schedules.
I love kittens, and we will probably get another one in a couple of years, but Galen's antics are reminding me of the things that I had blissfully forgotten about kittenhood
We will be joining you shortly in the lack of sleep department soon though, so if it is true that misery loves company, then you will have ample company in the not too distant future. :)
