Packing it away for the winter?

Galen has been demanding more food lately. And eating it. He's a grazer rather than a gulper - he likes having fresh food, usually so that he can take three bites and walk away. But he's been eating more than half again his normal amounts of wet and dry food.

Galen's not sick, or infested with parasites that we know of; his vet visit on Monday went fine. He even weighs a few ounces less than he did a year ago. So this just may be him reacting to "it's cold, I should be eating more."

If he continues to eat more and weight less, have them check for hyperthyroidism. It's very common as cats get older. Not that I have any idea of Galen's age, and a few ounces isn't much of anything.

Otherwise, yes I've noticed they tend to put away more and sleep more this time of year.

He's only four years old, and his weight went from 12 lbs 2 oz to 11 lbs 15 oz... not a big deal.
