Is there a particular Xmas or other holiday carol/tune that consistently gets stuck in your head every year? It doesn't have to be one you like (or dislike). Just one that for whatever reason, lodges itself in your cerebellum and won't let go.

For me, it's "Good King Wenceslas".

That one will do it. They always use it at the Stanford midnight service that Chris plays. Then it's in my head for weeks.

Carol of the Bells will do it too.

That stupid 'Band-Aid' song: "Do They Know it's Christmas".

It was good and appropriate when I was ... however old I was when it was written.

Holy Crap, it gets annoying, now.

The Boar's Head carol is one, although my tortured mind keeps singing the second line as "Eclectic base of Rosemary!" *sigh*

The one that always gets stuck in my head, and which I may even compulsively hum, is Mel Torme's "Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on Open Fire)". Only I've never learned all the words, so I make them up as I go.

Inquiring minds must know ... what words to you add to the velour mist's seasonal tune?

My lovely husband has lodged the Alvin & the Chipmunks song in my head... "Christmas Christmas time is here". No idea the real name of this one, but it's stuck there firmly for the last couple days.

And I still want my hula hoop!

Usually Sleigh Ride, or The Coventry Carol. I was fascinated with the way the CC changes from minor to major key in the final measure, the first time I heard it. I was probably ten years old.
