We recently watched Dirty Rotten Scoundrels again. It's still a good movie, although I like the first half better than the second. But after watching three seasons of Hustle, chronicling scams run by a group of modern-day grifters, I realized:

Michael Caine's and Steve Martin's characters are incredibly sloppy con artists. The group in Hustle, if they pulled off the same cons, would never get caught in DRS' loose ends.
