You're Doing It All Wrong: Making Drip Coffee.

Arno from Blue Bottle Coffee explains the proper way to make drip coffee. He usually takes my Saturday morning drip order at the Ferry Building Farmers' Market, and sometimes places the order for me while I'm still in line.

For the record: I grind the beans for each cup and usually use a drip filter rather than a coffee machine. Although with really good coffee like Blue Bottle's, the mad science vacuum infuser works very well.

I make drip coffee one cup at at a time on weekends, but really, the convenience of my coffeemaker that makes the coffee for me before I get out of bed can't be beat. I'm a slow starter in the mornings, so this is a huge deal for me. *shrug*
