Dragging this AM (more than usual)

I'm a morning person by nature. And photo-sensitive, meaning that I find it difficult to sleep after sunrise. Unless we have blackout curtains.
That doesn't make it easy to get up at 0-dark-30 - my ideal sleep schedule is probably 9 to 6.
So getting to bed at 10:30 as I did last night hurts. I'm functioning on more caffeine than usual due to only five hours' sleep.
It's my own fault, of course. I was in south San Jose last night being social. The hosts have given me a standing offer of crash space, which I deeply appreciate. I don't sleep as well there as I do at home, of course, but I get to bed significantly earlier and I don't have to force myself awake for the drive home.
Last night, however, I forgot to pack a full set of clothes so I didn't have the option to crash there. Fortunately, we knocked off on the early side, and I left around 9:30. Somewhat surprisingly (but thankfully) the drive home was fairly easy. I went to bed nearly immediately, but I had to wind down from the drive. And fight off the separation-anxiety cat, who was determined to make up for lost washing time.
