I didn't even file the serial numbers off.
"I know very little about some of the people on my friends' list. Some people I know relatively well. I read your fic, or we have something else in common and we chat occasionally. Some of you I hardly know at all. Perhaps you lurk, for whatever reason. But you friended me and I thank you.
But here's a thought: why not take this opportunity to tell me a little something about yourself. Any old thing at all. Just so the next time I see your name I can say: "Ah, there's so and so...she wears mismatched socks."
I'd love it if every single person who friended me would do this. Yes, even you people who I know really well. Then post this in your own journal."
For reference, what I wrote for tsgeisel was what most of you already know: that Sesame Street and I first aired on the same day. SS was 12 hours earlier, though.

Bueller? Bueller? ...
Date: 2003-12-13 08:31 pm (UTC)If I, say, have to pass around an unusually intrusive obsticle (like a tree, or lamp post, or somesuch) in my path when I'm walking -- then the next time I pass it, I have to pass to the other side. I have to, in essense, 'unwind' the previous path so that everything balances out and is symmetrical.
It's gay; I know.
I also believe that Ben Stein -- of "Win Ben Stein's Money"- and "Ferris Beuller"-fame -- is the mysterious "Deep Throat" of the Watergate scandal. I can't prove it, of course, but it's highly suspicious that Ben Stein and Bob Woodward went to Jr High and High School together, lived across the street from each other while growing up, and remained very good friends while Woodward went to write for the Washington Post, and Stein was a member of Nixon's personal staff in the White House.

Date: 2003-12-14 01:00 am (UTC)Black coffee not scented or perfumed, smokey scotch not mixed drinks, kith/kin not nodding friendships...these are a few of my favorite things? I adore fog and mist, cool and damp are the days that are mine. Perhaps I am a moss.
I recall being a corvid-person from way small days. Living with my father up in the Rockies, he would caw coming up the trail to our camp/home.

P.S.: I like this meme, but it's really hampered my attempts to
catch up on my Friends list after 5+ days in Seattle...
