There are occasional benefits to being out of work. Today, I made a Tomato-Gruyere Tart for lunch. San Marzanos from the farmers' market, 6 oz extremely good Gruyere from Cowgirl Creamery, basil from the yard, a bit of truffle oil over the top.
Understatement: it went well with a glass of white wine.
Going back in the recipes, I was struck by how similar this recipe is. The T-G Tart is better, though.

Date: 2008-07-31 05:44 am (UTC)Well, I feel like an idiot. Somehow I completely missed this... and now I see that I've been missing it over and over again.
Looks like it happened right around the time school and health issues sucked my life away, so I can see why I missed the initial mention of it, but still... I should have noticed it in other posts since then.
Oh, and the tart looks very tasty!
