I am conflicted.

As a lifelong Giants fan who bleeds black and orange, there is no worse team than the Dodgers. If the Giants can't win the pennant, then playing spoiler and making the Dodgers miss the postseason is a good way to end the year.
But dammit, I had to root not to BEAT LA. I mean, Cubs fans are almost as annoying as Yankee$ and Red $ox fans - if the team actually won a World Series, they'd be even more insufferable. Plus: no other sport has a team with a 100-year losing streak. That's historical and it needs to continue.
But now that the Cubbies have another year of humiliation and ignominy behind them, I'd be happy to see the Dodgers lose in the second round. And the Red $ox too, of course.

Date: 2008-10-06 06:07 pm (UTC)I would like to see the Rays win it this year, though. Actually, I would've liked to see a Rays-Cubs World Series: Back to the Future II, 7 years early ('course, in that one, the Cubs beat *Miami*, whose logo was a weird-looking Gator, but I digress).
