Random notes from the weekend

madbakerI had a piece of food-service bacon on Saturday. It was crispy. With zero flavor. I've gotten seriously spoiled with house-cured bacon.
Galen hasn't thrown up in a day. Hopefully removing a kitten's worth of fur from him helped, because he's snubbing the hairball control food.
I picked up a friend at the train station yesterday and we went to the Neil Gaiman reading. We got there a bit late - the parking garage was full and didn't have a sign up, so we then had to drive around in Japantown looking. Eventually we found another garage, but it destroyed our error margin. Oh well - we didn't seem to miss very much. Gaiman is a good reader and we also saw previews from next year's Coraline movie, which looks good. It's directed by the guy who did Nightmare Before Christmas (not Tim Burton).
