One of my school classmates works for Galaxy Desserts. He gave me a couple 4-pack trays of their Sticky Buns as a thank-you for helping him with Macro-Economics, so we had one for breakfast today.

Results: They are certainly easy and a ton less time than making from scratch. Take the tray out to defrost/rise for 8-9 hours overnight, then bake for half an hour. They distorted a bit as they rose in an uneven spiral, but not unappealingly so.
About half the pecan-caramel topping stayed in the pan when I inverted it as directed. I had to spoon out the rest. Maybe it wasn't quite hot enough? They weren't underbaked though.

They're made with croissant dough, so they are light and flaky rather than eggy-dense. Good, not overly sweet flavor.

Overall: These would be good for feeding a crowd with minimal effort, but I doubt I'll buy them on my own. Even with the annoying time effort on the few occasions when we're in the mood, I prefer making them myself.

Are these the same sticky buns one finds in the freezer case at Trader Joe's?

Supposedly they're only sold through Williams-Sonoma. They could always be selling at TJ under another name, though.
