Xmas atmos

Why am I up at this hour? 'Cause I'm at work. Predictably, there's no one here and there's nothing to do, so I'm wasting time on LJ...
Enough self-pity. 8) Xmas was nice. Got up late, made scones, had them for breakfast with creme fraiche, blackberries, home-made strawberry jam, and a whole bottle of champaigne. Decadent way to celebrate a holiday.
My wife gave me a number of neat kitchen toys. I gave her earrings. Winner of the "least sentimental but still vastly appreciated" award goes to my dad, who sent us a sectional 16' ladder. Now we can hang art on the wall along the staircase!
Had dessert upstairs, where the fuzzy neighbor's mom was visiting and made a traditional plum pudding. He flamed it and served with hard sauce. Yum.
Otherwise, spent the day on the phone with family and watching movies. "Randy lay there like a slug. It was his only defense."
