Can I call a re-boot for today?

madbakerNothing like needing to do tons of things at work that are ALL DEPENDENT ON NET ACCESS and not having it because some guy severed a fiber-optic cable 50 miles south of here. And there's no backup system in place, and anyway the IT guys don't get in for 2 hours after I do. So half my day has been fairly pointless and unproductive. (Cynics can make the obvious joke here if you wish.)
Okay, I've (sort of) gotten that out of my system.
The Giants game last night was fun. No rain, and we got to watch Li'l Timmy get his Cy Young award which was very cool. Then Randy Johnson took the mound and struck out five of his first nine batters. Extremely cool. Then Johnson served up a three-run homer... to the opposing pitcher.
Not so cool.
We left around the 8th inning with the Giants having wasted many opportunities to score. Yeah, there were fireworks scheduled but it was already way past my bedtime. Our bleacher seats weren't bad, but I suspect the scoreboard would have hidden much of the boomy lights anyway.
