Business lunch yesterday at Absinthe yesterday. The house-made hot dogs are, indeed, the bomb. The business guys thought I was kidding when I mentioned them, but they were converted when the waitress described the ingredients: Kobe beef, pork belly, house-cured bacon...

Sitting in the bar area there plus reading other LJs made me want to go out for cocktails. Instead, I did schoolwork last night. Probably tonight too. Sigh

One of the business guys is a New Yawker and insisted - with a straight face - that the Yankee$ needed the new stadium with its plethora of luxury boxes "to compete." Umm, how many years in a row has your team had the highest payroll in baseball? And by a significant margin...

Meh. New Yorkers (from the city and immediate environs, not necessarily the state) live in their own little world, which is quite detached from reality. He quite probably truly believed what he was saying!

That restaurant has the most faboo menu! If I wasn't stuffed from farmers market goodies at the moment, their menu would make me extremely hungry.
