Dawn's pet bunny Vorpal passed away last night.
Apparently he got some massive diarrhea during the night, and when you only weigh one pound - well, he probably died of dehydration and starvation.
Dawn's okay. Not great, but okay. It's more of a shock than Socrates; she was a 19-year-old cat when she went, and had been declining for some time. Vorpal was still growing.
Some of you know I was not thrilled with having a pet bunny (he was a surprise addition to the household) and I didn't feel any strong emotional connection to him.
Doesn't mean I wished him ill, though.
Dammit.
I was going to post about the Evening From Hell I had last night, but I don't feel like it right now.

Date: 2003-07-25 11:07 pm (UTC)Did you folks have photos of him? There were a couple taken during your house warming if you want them, let me know.
Sometimes having the images around helps, sometimes not. The Bear wouldn't let me put pictures of Seki up for more than a year after we lost her.
You know best how to help Dawn. Give her hand a squeeze for me if you would.
