My routine dental check-up yesterday was, thankfully, routine. My gums are doing much better and the new dentist didn't feel the need to issue dire warnings about surgery as the previous one did.

I had a productive evening last night with a classmate; hopefully we've finished up the majority of the work we have to do for Saturday, which would mean I can relax a bit this week. It would also allow me to do fun things that are already planned, like a housewarming tonight and CHoNC Thursday.

Back to work now. City Hall has no air conditioning. No ceiling fans, either - they would be "inconsistent with the historic nature of the building."

Blocks of ice are only available by subscription to the Departmental Ice Club, payments for which are assessed quarterly. There is a waiting period before enrollment.
