May. 18th, 2009 12:35 pmSummer's here. It's foggy, windy, and about 20 degrees cooler than yesterday.
As the hook to our bleachers Lincecum ticket 4-pack, yesterday was bobblehead day. They had 20,000 and the game was sold out - so half the fans were going to be disappointed. We arrived half an hour before the gates opened and the lines already stretched around the building. I suspect they gave away far less than the 20k - maybe the staff took their cut first - but the real annoyance was the bad crowd control in 90 degree weather.
We didn't get one. Oh well. (They're going for $25 and up on E-Bay, but I'm not that into it.) The game itself was still fun and it was a glorious day to be at the park. The Giants won for Matt Cain, which was a bonus.
Despite not being a seat snob, I think I'm done with the bleachers. It's difficult to follow the game from there and most people sitting (/moving) around you aren't watching.
