Conversation this morning on the bus with an older gentleman I've chatted with before (he's also a diehard Giants fan), as I'm getting ready to debark:

"You work for the Man, dontcha?"
"Yes... yes I do."
"Are you an attorney?"
"No. I'm not smart enough to be an attorney. I'm in the Treasurer's office."
"You look like an attorney. You dress nice."
"Well, thank you. Have a good day."

Dude, you're smart enough to pass up law school. And dress nice. I sometimes felt like I had to bully Shelby into getting new suits periodically when the old ones went to crap.
