I like arugula.

Not the plant (it's okay, but a pain to strip from the stalk) - the word.

It's fun to say.
Arugula. Aruuuuugula. Arugula arugula arugula!

I think perhaps you as well are a card-carrying member of the Easily Amused Club. Yes, arruuuGuuLA is a wonderful word.
Forsythia is one of my favorites.

I think rutabaga is fun for a similar reason. Do I want to eat it? Nope, unless hidden by butter or cheese or whatever.

What is the hat-with-arms that you use as a picture?

I thought it looked Gorey-ish, but I'm not fluent (obviously!) Thanks for enlightening me.

Figbash made his first appearance in a book called The Black Doll's Imbroglio. (http://anguish.org/~greyson/gorey/index.shtml)

Argh!!!! All I can think of is how much it sounds like the name of a spider.

This is all [livejournal.com profile] corva's fault. LOL

I have noticed that when squeezing a pair of breasts sequentially rather than simultaneously, the sound effects that seem most apropos are "honk honk" and "arUUUUUUUgula."

"honk honk, aruuuuuugula"

I mentioned this to my wife. She giggled.
But if I try it on her, I'm toast.

Oddly enough, it's been one of my personal favorite sound-words for a long time, too, along with a few others, some of which are entirely made up (with no official definition). I like the mouth-feel of them. I'm glad I'm not the only one who understands this concept :)

it's even more fun to yodel.
