I made the mistake of trying a few potato chips that came with my meeting lunch today.
I now remember why I usually don't eat them. Standard potato chips have no flavor to me other than heavy grease. Now, if they were salt & vinegar that'd be another story.

To my palate, Plain Wavy Lays have a mild potato flavor. I dislike "kettle"-style chips for being over-browned to the point of burnt.

And I think that most flavored chips taste like sugar.
