Being slightly inspired by scendan's Cracked Carrie missives, I wrote Cap'n Slappy. He wrote back, and it's here. Scroll down a bit for my letter & response.
Although I was slightly disappointed he didn't take the semi-obvious opening for John "Iron-Britches"' new nickname... -Ol' Hardtack
The Salty Squid had t’ be renamed “The Squatting Squitter” and its crew barely avoided capture, incapacitated as they were. As t’ Cap’n Iron-Britches, well, you probably have heard o' his current nick-name.
Well, going for a different tack than you took, really... besides, I don't think I can compete with the carving of the Four Wenches o' the Apocalypse. On a blustery day.
I loved the bit where one of Nigel's crew got impaled on the pointy bits during said blustery day. Gotta get the crew back to their jobs...too much polishing of the pointy bits. ;)
