Hey, let's organize a Silly Games Night SOON to try to play this one! I'm just re-reading Foucault's Pendulum and would love to wrap my brain around a game that convoluted.
When it was played in my presence, it didn't look like the people involved were having fun.

P.S.: Disclaimer: someone made a logic-error (it's essentially "Clue") that pooched the entire game -- but that was just the endgame -- up until that point, it still didn't look *fun* to me.
