Good thing my name isn't John Smith.
Jul. 30th, 2010 09:00 amI didn't get a Wall Street Journal today. I assumed that a dogwalker stole it this morning, but I logged on to report it anyway.
Instead, I got the message "your delivery has been suspended so there is no problem." Um, what?
Digging a little deeper I find that someone else's phone number and e-mail address have been attached to my account. Presumably the person who actually suspended delivery. When I called to investigate, I was lamely told that "Well, you both have the same name."

Date: 2010-07-30 05:34 pm (UTC)Our names are not really the unique identifiers we think they are. (That's why the gummint assigns us a number!) I trust that the WSJ was clever enough to separate the accounts and give you a credit for the missed delivery.
