Who musings

We recently finished the latest season of Doctor Who. No spoilers, but in case someone hasn't seen it and cares...
Overall I thought Matt Smith did a fine job. I wasn't overwhelmed but I wasn't disappointed, either. I quite liked Karen Gillan's feistiness - and not just because she's a cute ginger with a Scottish burr, although that helps of course. The writing wasn't up to the standards of Blink; but that's a hard act to follow and on the other hand it generally exceeded Stephen Moffat's sillier standards. I do like his using out-of-sequence causality: that should be fairly standard for a time traveler.
I was not impressed with the changes to the Tardis' interior and the sonic screwdriver. I really didn't like the "Who-Phone" as a plot jumping-off point. Laaaame. Colored Daleks, also not so much.
