madbakerI burned my (fortunately, left hand) palm Sunday. I was moving around a cast-iron skillet that had been in the oven for two hours, and the hot pad slipped. My palm touched the handle, and now I have a dime-sized blister burn.
It could have been a lot worse. Granted, it's 1/8" high right now, but at least it's in a relatively non-inconvenient place: the pinky side of my palm. It hasn't burst, and I've been covering it with cat meds and band-aids. It doesn't generally hurt right now.
If it had to happen, I'll take "mildly annoying" over "incapacitating" any day.
