Still cut off.
Apr. 5th, 2004 09:02 amWe replaced the modem yesterday, and... the computer gives us the same error.
Our friendly tech-support-for-food is frantically busy, which means the first chance he has to look at it may be this coming weekend. Which is far better than unemployment, so I'm happy for him.
But annoyed about it for me.
The wife may pick up a modem for the Mac, so that we can at least read Sluggy and such.
Aargh.
In other news: I met the wife at school Thursday for lunch on our anniversary. Which ended up being delayed for two hours as she did some prints. Such is the life of an art student. The sushi was pretty good, though.
Friday I drove over to Muir Woods. I slept in, so the park had been open for over an hour by the time I got there. That combined with the nice weather meant that it was (relatively for a weekday) crowded. I vastly prefer hiking there when I hear birds chirping and trees rustling, not children screaming. Sigh.
Went to Coronet Saturday, schmoozed and did little else. It was good to get out of the house.
Picking up the new Stephen Brust book today. More silly Dumasian-style fantasy!

*interested peeping eyes over the computer line*
Call if you would like extra footfalls with your wanders, though I understand the solitude as well. Fridays are often free for me these days. I have been thinking of a pilgrimage to Tam sometime soon as I seem to be circling it often, living where I do now.
my prints will come
