This "lie awake between 1 and 3 AM" thing needs to stop. Several days of it is not conducive to productivity.

My solution to the "lie awake in the night" problem involves medications that also tend to cause sleepwalking, so that may not help.

Is there something productive you could do with that time? If you aren't sleeping anyway and will pay the price of being tired in the morning no matter what, is there some project you could work on then so that you at least could feel good about progress made then, while still feeling tired the next day?

Perhaps that sense of accomplishment would break the pattern and let you sleep the following night through?
