Shock, amazement. The bid for our garage repair work came in for more than anticipated.

On the other hand, two reliable sources polled by the curvy upstairs neighbor say it's reasonable for union labor in San Francisco.

So... bid signed and should be faxed over today! Maybe we can get our garage back soon.

In other news, I found out (by checking the appropriate website) that my wife's SCA name change was approved.

In December.

Not that anyone's bothered to notify us yet. Don't know if the breakdown occurred at the decision level, or the local level. Either way, somewhat annoying.

In December.

The January LoAR was just posted last week ... the current Laurel is waaaaay behind. On the other hand, he won't be current for much longer, so maybe the new Laurel will try to keep from falling behind so badly.

Sigh. And by "last week" I mean this week. I was thinking since I didn't have to work that today was Saturday ...

And on the other hand, I also note that the LoAR in question was the December LoAR, and that was posted a bit earlier, a couple-three weeks ago. You might want to mention to Matins that you are disappointed that neither of you had heard anything, as it's her job ... heh.

Ah, so the answer to "did the breakdown occur at the decision-making level, or the local level" is... both!

I would say so. I have no idea what the holdup is on the local end, except the stated "burnout" ... which isn't surprising. Matins is really doing part of what I consider to be the job of Vesper (largely because it was part of what I did when I was Vesper ...).
