Bunch of savages in this town

Some time last night there was a smash-and-grab down much of the street. We got the lottery ticket: they stole our car.

Normally this isn't a problem in our neighborhood, but there it is. Police report filed and insurance notified. All we can do is wait and see if it's dumped somewhere, and if so in what condition.

No real losses other than the car. My prescription sunglasses and the Fastrak.

That sucks. Given your street, I'm both surprised and not surprised. I guess not having houses on both sides of the street means it might make an easier target?

Yup - plus the cars were parked close because it was street cleaning day on the other side. I will note that this is the first time in the ten years we've lived here that we've had a smash-and-grab (and worse, obviously in our case) on our street.

And when you find the car, will there be gum stuffed in the locks? You have my deepest sympathy, and hopes the insurance pays without too much trouble.
