smart by cat standards, but still a cat
Jun. 5th, 2014 10:30 amEvery once in a while I am reminded that our cat has a brain the size of a walnut. This morning, he pushed the door open to the bathroom to get in. I mostly-closed it to get ready for work. He tried to push the door open from the other side, and was visibly frustrated that it didn't work.
This is also why our cabinets have magnetic seals. He would pull the handle open with his paw, go inside, and then not be able to get out because there was no handle to pull from the inside. Never mind that pushing with his head would have done the trick.

(And don't get me started on the male half of the brother-sister pair I had - he wasn't even smart enough to figure out how to drink from a dripping faucet, would lap from the drain-ring and then complain that his head was wet from being dripped on…)
But they're sweet...
