Health has been annoying. The flu shot may have worked, but the death cold in January lasted way too long. And the last ten days I have been in the grip of another one.

Nothing major - just the usual sinus headache, coughing up a lung, fun stuff like that. I need to be over this. Not just because I am sick of it (weak joke, but all I am up for) but because I have Things To Do. And illness inhibits that.

(Along those lines, I am giving myself a pass on Resolution Recipes this week.)

I guess I have an advantage because I don't have to leave the house so I can rest, but I am seriously in love with the Neti pot and steam baths (just did hot but not boiling water in a bowl with some burny mint oil and a towel over my head). It cuts the colds down to 5 days or so for me.

I hope you feel better, though. Because the colds I've had have been pretty crappy and I feel your sinus pain.

The cold that's been going around was particularly nasty, because even I caught it and it stayed for a week. At least my immune system got a real workout. I'm sorry you've been sick for so long, and I hope you recover soon.

Wow. It's like we are channeling each other, and we have to stop. Seriously, we *have* to stop.

I have used all my sick time (even stretching across half days here and there) and am halfway through my vacation time for the year, and it's only mid-February. Nevermind the work deadlines that have gone wanting.

(I coughed while I typed this.)

Right. So, I have sympathy for your situation. I hope you feel better soon.
