May. 28th, 2004 08:09 amHad a lovely day yesterday - took the day off work, slept in, ran errands, ate lots of chlorophyll.
Errands: bought some wineglasses at Sur la Table and spent much, much less than we would have liked to at Biordi Imports.
Fud: made a scramble for breakfast with fresh garlic, beet greens, and radish greens from our CSA basket. Had a crab sandwich (and salad!) with the wife at the Ferry Building fish market. Made fresh pesto for dinner, along with a salad of arugula, purple orach, and random lettuces (all from the CSA).
I actually felt good about going in to work today. That’s what a day off should do. My ankles are complaining about the amount of walking we did, but it was worth it.
Current Book: Peter F. Hamilton, The Nano Flower
