madbakerThis week's Resolution Recipe: Jack Rose cocktail.
2 oz applejack brandy
1 oz lemon or lime juice (We used lemon)
1/2 oz grenadine (We used house-made [not our house])
Shake with ice, decant, and garnish with a brandied cherry or an apple slice.
What worked: A lovely summer drink on a warm day. Easy to make, even easier to drink.
What didn't: The wife thought it was a bit tart and wants to cut down the lemon or use lime or Meyer lemon. I thought it was perfect.
Will I make it again? I'm sure.
