This week's Resolution Recipe: the Gimlet.
2 1/2 oz gin (I used an Old Tom style)
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1/2 oz simple syrup (I used caramel sugar for a richer flavor)
Add all to a shaker and fill with ice. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
What worked: This was light, refreshing, and I had to stop myself drinking it too quickly. I also had to stop myself making two more immediately.

Will I make it again? Most assuredly. Easy, delicious, tart.
