Clearly feeling better

Galen has groomed me a little bit. He's also meeting us when we come in the house. The downside is that he's struggling a lot more with his meds - holding the pill in his mouth and waiting to spit it out when we're not looking, for example - and also with the subcutaneous fluids. We have yet to get a full dose in him, and last night was a huge struggle even for a half dose of saline. Even with him burrito'd on my lap.

"Subcuntaeous fluids" was what I first typed. That would be entirely different.

I'm glad he's feeling better. It's so frustrating that they can't understand when we're trying to help them!

We had a cat who was impossible to pill; I ended up getting a pill shooter from the pet store and that did the trick. He still hated it, but it got the pill down his gullet every time.

We had a pill shooter for our previous cat, but got rid of it ten years ago. Time to get another one.
(I got a good face-grooming this morning.)
