Groom, Spurned
Jun. 14th, 2018 07:38 amGalen threw up this morning. Ever since his ER visit (and subsequent drugs) he's been throwing up a lot less. Perhaps more importantly for everyone's comfort - including his - Galen isn't yowling for 20 minutes beforehand.
So, I awoke to hear "Hork, hork, hsplatz!" Usually this is followed by him jumping onto the bed and grooming my face while purring frantically. It comforts him and I try not to think about where that tongue has been.
Not this morning, though. In fact, he hasn't been grooming me much all week. Is he punishing me for being gone last weekend? Or just not in the mood for it? It's weird - it's not something I look forward to, but I feel oddly spurned now that he's not doing it.
